Over Five Hundred Thousand (500,000) Cocoa Farmers by their name, *Ghana National Cocoa Farmers Association(GNACOFA) have shared their thoughts concerning the receiving their monies when they sell their Cocoa beans through an electronic means like momo that is a cheat and away the government want to implement the e_ levy.
Speaking with Agyenkwa fm’s Obofo Michael during their 2022 1ST Quarter Society’s Meeting at Kumasi Cultural Center*, they said, in the past the payment were always done through physical cash not any transition means, and also not anyone knows how the mobile money works.
Moreover, tax is always being deducted from the payment, and finds it difficult always to ran things, because if mandate were to be given to us,,,the fertilizers that are given to us should be stopped and the money be given to us to buy the type of fertilizers we prefer, they explained.
They added that, the cocoa income is not like first, they find it difficult and hard to do management and everything.
