Sad news: Church Elder dies in gory accident on Ghana highway
Sad news has hit the Pentecost as one of their elders, Elder Emmanuel Amoako Osae, 32, dies in a gory accident together with the manager of Adi Lake Resort Beach, Mr. Ketsi Cecil, 28.
The incident happened on the Accra-Akosombo highway in January 27, 2022, at about 5pm.
According to report, the Pentecost Elder, also a teacher at Akrade Presby School, was riding a motorbike (Okada) including Mr. Ketsi Cecil and another woman, Mrs. Gladys Asare.
The three persons were on the single motorbike.
Upon reaching a point on the road, eye witness said, the rider, (Pentecost Elder and a teacher), Mr. Emmanuel Amoako Osae overtook a vehicle wrongly, leading to the crush with an incoming Ashok Truck, with registration number GN-1104-19.
According to the eye witness’s account, the only woman amongst the men on the motorbike fell on the road after their motor hit the tyre of the vehicle it was over-taking.
The rider and the other man, run through the Ashok Truck, killing them instantly.
The only survivor on the Okada, Mrs. Gladys Asare is in critical condition and receiving treatment at the VRA Hospital at Akosombo in the Eastern Region..
The remains of the deceased persons have also been deposited at the same hospital’s morgue for autopsy and preservation.
