Don’t force COVID19 vaccination on citizens, it violates their rights- Government told

A none Denominational Holiness Believers has advised the government through the ministry of health not to make the covid-19 vaccination mandatory. Saying, forcibly asking people to vaccinate, violates their rights.

Speaking during a press conference the chairman of the group, Prophet, Francis Kofi Annan said the mandatory vaccination is unconstitutional since every Ghanaian has the protection of the Constitution hence, the mandatory vaccination is in violation of the right of the people.

He added that Ghanaians have been subjected to what he described as unfair treatment indicating that churches are being prohibited from organizing church services without being vaccinated.

The directives, according to him, should not be mandatory. “The president and his ministers should note that many countries have not made the vaccine mandatory, but Ghana is making lives unbearable with the vaccine”.

Stressing that the group will not hesitate to go to court when the president fails to respond positively to them…even though they are not against the vaccination but it should not be forced.
