Six mourners killed in car accident
Six people have been perished in through accident that occured at Sege in the Ada District.
The Six according were part of a group travelling in Land Commission’s Toyota Hiace Bus with registration number GC 843-14 from a community called Ayikoo to mourn with their friend to bury his father in the Volta Region.
On their way coming back from the funeral on the late hours of Monday, December 27,2021, one of the tyres of their vehicle bursted resulting into the ghastly accident at Sege.
The Assembly member of Ayikoo Ayikoo in the Cape South Constituency of the Central Region, Hon. Alhasan Lamidi confirming the incident to the press said, three of the passengers died on the spot whiles the other three lost their lives at the Sege and Bator Government Hospital.
All the deceaseds are Muslims and their bodies sent to Cape Coast for necessary preparation to bury them.
The injured are also receiving treatment in the health center of Sege and Bator Government Hospital.
The names of the lost persons according the assembly member are Mohammed Ameen Adam, Faisal Masour, Abubakar Sadick Ibrahim, Nasiru Ali, Mallam Lukman and Mallam Dawuda.
He said, the body of one out of the six deceaseds has been sent to his family at Takoradi as he hails from there.
They all left behind wife and children except one.
