The Offinso Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Kingsley Appiah Owusu has incredibly increased revenue mobilisation in the assembly within a month and some few days by generating Seven Hundred and Eighty Million (GHc78,000.00)
Given his new year message to the people of Offinso, the MCE recounted how revenue mobilisation was poor in the municipality.
He said that motivated him to working tirelessly after his assumption in office to bridge the gap thus, putting in more efforts and measures to generate enough money for developments by the assembly itself.
Hon. Owusu elaborated that amongst the measures was the recruitment of young men and women onto the field and strictly tasked them to taxing all the companies working in the Municipality free of charge without contributing to the development of the assembly especially sand wining companies saying it has really shoots up the revenue mobilisation in the Offinso Municipality.
He also pointed market centers in the area as one of the mojor source of revenue collection that has helped them achieve this profit.
He’s therefore calling on all the natives in the Municipality to support them in the year 2022 in order to do more.
“Within one month, we’ve been able to generate GHc78,000.00 from sand wining companies, is a great achievement”, he added.
