The Member of Parliament for Effiduasi-Asokore constituency Dr Nana Ayew Afriyie together with Sekyere East District Chief Executive, Hon Osei Adiyiah and other party executives have embarked on a familiarization tour within 44 communities in the Effiduasi-Asokore constituency to officially introduce their newly elected DCE to the communities.
The tour is to bring local governance to the doorsteps of the people and to listen to the problems of individuals. He then appealed to the chiefs in the district to respect the assembly bye laws to ensure development. Hon Adiyia disclosed that, some of the chiefs by their own authority give space and land to some individuals to put their containers without the consent of the assembly.
Addressing some chiefs, Queen mothers and members of some communities in the district, Hon Osei Adiyiah also noted that his door is always opened for the communities to share their views.
He urged them to desist from any uncultured behaviors that will tarnish NPP’s image. According to him, government will help develop their communities as promised. The NPP Member of Parliament, Dr Nana Ayew Afriyie assured the residents that he together with the president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will fulfill their campaign promises.
Hon Dr Nana Ayew Afriyie who was part of the tour with other party executives urge that, the E-levy aim is to bringing relief and employment to Ghanaian youth so the NDC MPs should consider and accept it.
