A Non Governmental Organisation has stated that it would construct 500 mechanised boreholes with overhead with overhead tanks in some selected communities mostly in the rural areas enable dwellers having access to quality water supply.
The group called Friends of Dr. Kwaku Oteng says the aim to forming the Organisation was to bring development closer to deprived communities in the country and uniting all Ghanaians, especially the youth from all walks of life.
They will also provide economic support to the less previleged in our societies.
At a ceremony on Sunday, December 12, 2021, at Jubilee Park in Kumasi of the Ashanti Region to honour the bankroller of Angel Group of Companies, Dr. Augustine Kwaku Oteng Mensah as a Living Legend, Chairman of the Organisation, Mr. James Arthur Darko disclosed that, construction of the over 500 Mechanised boreholes form part of their responsibilities as a group to alleviating impoverish and bringing relief to the people mainly inhabitants of the rural areas.
He said the idea would address the challenges confronting isolated communities in the rural areas.
James Arthur noted that it would be of immense benefit to the people in the remote communities since residents have to go through hustling and bustling on daily basis in search of water adding that water scarcity in such areas would be resolved.
“Struggling over water in rural Communities will be a thing of the past. If not, it will be reduced to the minimum level”, Mr. James Arthur stressed in a sideline interview with Filasco DeGeneral.
