Nana Kwarteng wants churches investing in PFJ rather than constructing stores

Nana Kwarteng, the Abuosohene Kyeame has stated that, Churches in Ghana should take up the Planting for Food and Job program implemented by the government of Ghana by investing hugely in it.
According to the fire brand Chief Linguist of Abuoso, the PFJ program is a good initiative which must be lauded and supported by all.
He said, it is worried how various churches in Ghana such as the Church of Methodist, Pentecost, Presby, Baptist, Roman Catholic, Assemblies of God etc. have turned their focus on stores construction and other commercial purposes such as building of Tertiary schools which ordinary church members children are unable to get admission into it.
Nana Kwarteng in an interview with Filasco DeGeneral hinted that, most of the nowadays church are only interested in milking members and squeezing of money thus, erecting of stores and tertiary schools.
“I’m wondering how all the churches have pushed their focus in stores whiles good policies such as the PFJ is not being supported by churches”, he stressed adding that, the church acquire lands and start investing in Agriculture to producing enough food and creating job opportunities for people.
He cited an example in the Holy Bible where the Saviour Jesus Christ fed people; which to him implies that, food is very important hence churches must invest in anything that brings food.
Planting for Food and Jobs is a flagship agricultural program of the Government, with five (5) implementation modules. The first module PFJ (Crops) aims to promote food security and immediate availability of selected food crops on the market and also provide jobs. This module was officially launched by H. E. President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo at Goaso on April 19, 2017 in the then Brong Ahafo Region.
The five Modules are:
•Food Crops (PFJ)
•Planting for Export and Rural Development (PERD)
•Greenhouse Technology Villages (3 Villages)
•Rearing for Food and Jobs ( RFJ)
•Agricultural Mechanization Services (AMSECs)
