Corruption: National award to committed stakeholders will discourage the menace- Dr. Twumasi
Dr. Desmond Twumasi Ntow, the Executive Director for Movement for Justice has suggested that, a reward should be offered to individuals who stay Committed in their various institutions.
According to Dr. Twumasi who also doubles as a Political Activist, the idea will encourage more people in the society to avoid engaging in corrupt practices to be honoured.
He is of the firm believe that, the current way of treating and handling corruptible persons will not discourage or curb the menace but giving awards to anti-corrupt persons at a national ceremony annually would definitely sanitise the system.
He said more people working in various institutions both government and private will push for their names to be heard publicly as clean individuals.
Speaking on December 11, 2021, Saturday on KESSBEN TV’s morning program dubbed Amantie chaired by Akuoko Kwarteng, Dr. Twumasi called on the government consider implementing such scheme as a way to fighting corruption in Ghana.
