DCE identifies climate change and bush fire as major setbacks to farming activities

Hon. David Kwasi Asare Boakye affectionately called “Adwumawura”, DCE for Offinso North in the Ashanti region has identified Climate Change and bush fires as major setbacks to farmers in their activities hence the need to direct our attention as a nation to handle it’s negative effects.

He has therefore cautioned farmers, hunters, palm wine tappers, fulani herdsmen and other people who engage in activities that bring about bush fires or depletion of our forest and climate to as a matter of urgency quit in order to guarantee food security of our nation.

Hon. Asare Boakye made this observation during the 37th Farmers’ Day Celebration in the Offinso North District held at Nkenkaasu where a total of 10 deserving farmers comprising of 8 men and 2 women from various categories were awarded with certificates and other mouthwatering prizes.
