Good news: Security personnels suspend lockdown of Kejetia market tomorrow

Security personnel at the New Kejetia market popularly called Kumasi Dubai have suspended their earlier statement within the week to lockdown the market over arrears.

On Tuesday, November 30, the aggrieved security personnels at the aforementioned market threatened to lock all entries into the market on December 3,2021 over their four months arears.

The aggrieved security personnel who were part of NPP’s Delta Force vigilante group but employed at LESBENA security company by the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the party, Mr. Antwi Boasiako popularly known Wontumi have been complaining bitterly over poor working conditions.

They told the press on Monday that, they have worked for months without pay hence their earlier threat to lockdown the market.

But speaking to Filasco DeGeneral on Thursday, December 2,2021, leader of the group, Mr. Isaac Owusu said, they’ve suspended their action scheduled tomorrow, Friday, December 3,2021.

He said their suspension follows an emergency meeting after their agitations on the media between Kejetia Management and LESBENA Security Company concerning their concerns.

“We’ve suspended our action tomorrow, KPM and LESBENA Security Company met at Cultural Center a day after our agitations to address our concerns therefore, we have halted the lockdown of the market till further notice”, Mr. told DeGeneral.
