On Saturday 20th, November, 2021, the final Funeral rites was held for the Late ADOII Joseph Baidoo at Ankafu.
He lost his life after his heroic rescue of two (2) people trapped in a well at Gomoa Obuasi in the Central Region. He selflessly served the Ghana National Fire Service and was stationed at the Agona Swedru Fire Station.
He was given a befitting funeral and honoured for his heroic exploits. Glowing tributes were read to celebrate his commitment to work and the diligence he exhibited in the execution of his duties.
He was survived by a beautiful wife and a lovely little girl. The Service Committed an investment of Twenty Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢20,000.00) towards the education and development of his daughter.
The Central Regional Command also showed their love by commiting an amount of Fifteen Thousand (GH¢ 15,000.00) for the education and development of his daughter.
In attendance at the funeral was the Central Regional Minister, the Acting Chief Fire Officer, the Council Chairman of the Ghana National Fire Service, Members of the Central Regional Security Council, the Chiefs and people of Central Region.
