E/R: Kingsley Agyemang inspires students to pursue a higher height

The Registrar of the Ghana Scholarships Secretariat, Mr. Kingsley Agyemang, has urged students in Abuakwa South Municipality in the Eastern region to always pursue carrier guidance and human empowerment ideas in order to build them into the kind of leaders the nation will need for its future development.

According to Kingsley Agyemang, Abuakwa South can brag of high profile personalities including; J.B. Danquah, William Ofori-Atta, Osaagyefo Amotia Ofori Panyin, William Akufo Addo because, these past and current leaders envisioned can do spirit.

He made these remarks when Speaking to Afeema FM’s journalist, Kaakyire Kwasi Afari at Abuakwa State College assembly hall when he organized ‘Time With Kingsley Series’ on Saturday, 8th October, 2022, at Kyebi in the Eastern Region.

He charged the students to defy all odds to make it in life saying “you have to keep working on yourself to become a better you, always look into the mirror and say that it’s today I look like this but virtue I don’t know the biological explanation for fame but I’m going to get better” he added.

Hon. Kingsley Agyemang added that it is always necessary to empower when there is power hence the #PowerToEmpower.

‘Time With Kingsley Series’ is a coaching and mentoring programme for six (6) Senior High School students within the Abuakwa South Municipality to guide and mentor them in their career choices.

To be more productive and contribute greatly to the development of the country, he charged the students of Abuakwa State College to develop networking with industrious personnels, think positive and take actions that are supported by a positive mindset, rather than looking for fast gains.

According to him, the founding leaders of the country with its majority pillars from Akyem Abuakwa had a positive mindset of contributing to the development of Ghana, and were heavily driven by positive action, hence, the need for them to avoid unnecessary fame but should be committed to impacting positive on societal changes.

Mr. Kingsley Agyemang urged the students never to give up on their quest for educational excellence but to be resilient in their academic pursuits.

The Register making the call told Kaakyire Kwasi Afari that, academic feat could only be achieved through resilience and persevere despite the numerous hurdles and challenges it comes with.

The event also saw the handing over of 2,500 exercise books and a digital Piano to the Abuakwa State College by Mr. Kingsley Agyemang to support teaching and learning.

Oh his part, Mr. Kwabena Ampofo Appiah, the Managing Director of State Housing Company Limited admonished the children to go extra mile to make their dream come true.

Speaking as an inspirational speaker at Time with Kingsley Agyemang Series’ the State Housing MD delved indepth into creativity and how the students can think outside the box by charging them to explore innovative antidotes to societal menace.

Mr. Kwabena Ampofo Appiah encourage the youth to take advantage of mentoring opportunities to receive the needed grooming that will spur them on to success.

Obodai Elizabeth Catherine, a student of Abuakwa State College told Kaakyire Kwasi Afari that, the mentorship programme will help the students in a long way through serving as a guidelines in selecting carrier choices.

Having thanked the Organizers of event, she said, it’s her contention to look forwarded for more of such mentorship programmes from other benevolent in the Abuakwa South to improve academic scores in the area.
