Kejetia Market to be closed down for 3 days
Kumasi Kejetia Market will be closing down for three working days, this according to the Ashanti Regional Minister will give more time to the technical personnel and the management of the market to assess the extent of damage.
The Minister Hon Simon Osei Mensah made this known in an interview with the media after touring the incident scene today, March 16, 2023, Thursday.
Kejetia Market was on Wednesday, 15th March, 2023, gutted by fire around 4:00pm. Ghana National Fire Service, Ashanti Region came in to quench the fire, after hard efforts.
The cause of the fire outbreak is not immediately known.
