Egyankwaa Owuya D/A Basic School in the Ekumfi District of the Central Region is in dire need of infrastructure support.
The school lacks furnished school blocks for the pupils and the deplorable they have are also not even enough contain the pupils.
A concerned citizen who shared the ordeal of the pupils in the school on Kumasi based Silver FM’s Omanbapa morning monitored by Filasconews.com said, the students are compelled to consume their school feeding foods on bare ground due to lack of infrastructure.
Classrooms, place of convenience etc. are all infrastructure deficit affecting staff and students of Egyankwaa Owuya Basic School.
The situation is serious that pupils would have to sit in gravels to eat which is also affecting their wellbeing as students.
The school was established in 1961.
Since its establishment no renovation has been done in it according to the report.
The community leaders have all joined the call to getting the authorities responsible to as a matter of urgency to come to the aid of the school.
