National Executives Council of ADUG suspends Former Chairman for unauthorized press statement

The National Executive Council of Automobile Dealers Union of Ghana (ADUG) strongly disassociates itself from a press statement issued by one Eric Kwaku Boateng, a former chairman of the Union.

The said fake press statement was released without notice to the National Executive Council and the general members of the Union.

The NEC also renders unqualified apology to the President of the Republic of Ghana H.E Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo-Addo, Finance Minister and the good people of Ghana.

As a neutral organization with no partisan interest, we condemn any statement that seeks to align the Union with any political party and interest as issued by Mr. Boateng.

Mr. Boateng has therefore been suspended indefinitely from the Union for abuse of office,poor leadership, mismanagement and lack of accountability and therefore ceases to be the chairman of the union.

We are by this statement notifying all government agencies, expecially The Ministry of Trade and the Ghana Standard Authority, private organizations including the media and the general public NOT to engage Mr. Eric Kwaku Boateng alias Tanko in any formal or informal engagements on behalf of Automobile Dealer’s Union of Ghana in any endeavor whatsoever.

We also call on organizations, the media and the public to engage only elected and accredited members of ADUG for any interview or formal interactions.

Mr. Boateng has since been given 48 hours to retract in full the said fake press statement without delay and apologize accordingly.

The security agencies would also be formally notified to investigate the fraudulently use of the Union’s Letter head to issue fake press releases to the general public by Mr. Eric Kwaku Boateng and his cohorts.
