Offinso North District: Angry Residents Demonstrate Against Authorities, Say ‘No Development No Vote Again'(Contacts)

Residents of Akomadan-Afrancho in the Offinso North District of the Ashanti Region have threatened to abort voting henceforth if authorities fail to address their pressing issues.

According to the residents, there is no development in their area as their leaders are unconcerned about their grievances.

Speaking to the Filasconews.com today, Thursday, June 16, 2022, leader of the concerned residents, Barima Twumasi Ankrah revealed that, a market place initiated by the community itself has come to a standstill due to lack of support from their Member of Parliament (MP) and the District Chief Executive (DCE).

Adding that, rascals are now using those abandoned projects as their place of abode to execute their plans.

He also touched on poor road networks as one of their major challenge in the community.

“Our roads are poor, toilet facilities and market structure have been neglected and now used by ‘wee smokers’ and others causing problem in the area”, He added.

Barima Twumasi is therefore appealing to the powers that be to as a matter of urgency intervene else they will advice themselves.

Their next plan if the leaders fail to solve their problem is… No Development, No Vote in any general election being parliamentary or Presidential.
