Osudoku: Chiefs, residents appeal to government for basic social amenities

Nene Tetteh Hwazo ll, Chief of Manya and Djaaseste, Osudoku Traditional Area and the residents have appealed to the government to provide them with basic social amenities.

The assembly member, Mr. Emmanuel Wayoe complained about the absence of toilet facilities, equipped health facility, portable drinking water, extension of electricity and replacement of electricity poles.

Osuwem, Asutsuare, Volivo and Lanor communities in the Shai-Osudoku district in the Greater Accra Region have no public toilet, portable drinking water and need extension of electricity and replacement of electricity poles.

He said that the absence of the public toilet facilities leave the communities with limited options as they are forced to defecate in the bush and open spaces.

The assembly man has called on the Shai-Osudoku district assembly, the member of parliament, Madam Linda Akweley Ocloo to lobby to construct modern public toilet facilities, portable drinking water as the people struggles with animals and extension of electricity for them.

According to Nene Tetteh Hwazo ll, Chief of Manya and Djaasetse has added that “We face a lot of challenges with it comes to issues related to equipped health facility, water accesses to toilet facilities” he said.

The people are forced to go to bush in order to ease themselves. He also appealed for urgent attention to health, portable drinking water and extension of electricity.

Nene Tetteh Hwazo ll, Chief of Manya and Djaasetse, Osudoku Traditional Area has revealed that the situation gets worse in Osudoku in terms of development.

In order to address some challenges Nene Tetteh Hwazo ll, build police station in order to enforce law and order.

He appealed to the government to come to the aid of Osudoku.
