Family calls for independent investigation after death of woman during childbirth at Orma hospital

The family of a 33-year-old Euginia Boaduwaa Adu who died during childbirth at Omar Hospital at Tafo Pankrono in the Ashanti Region are calling for independent investigation into the death of their relative.

The family and some friends of the decease have accused the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and a doctor of the health facility, Orma Hospital for killing their belove Euginia through their negligence.

The family is demanding justice for their daughter.

They are urging Government and Ghana Medical Association(GMA) to establish independent investigation into her death.

According to the family, Euginia couldn’t urinate for about three days after going through C.S and complained for hours that she was in pain during the birth of her child.

They claimed the doctor who performed the operation at Dr. Orma failed to signed a referral letter for the family to Komfo Anokye teaching hospital after he cut the bladder of the decease.

They believe this negligence on the part of the medical practitioner at Omar Hospital resulted in the demise of their loved one, hence, pleading for independent investigation into the matter.
