JUST IN: Transport Fares Increased By 15% – GPRTU Chairman Confirms

The Chairman of GPRTU in the Ashanti Region, Alhaji Sumaila Boakye has revealed that, lorry fares would-be increased by tomorrow, Thursday, March 31, 2022.

Alhaji Sumaila Boakye in an interview with filasconews.com on March 29, 2022, stated that, they have increased Transport Fares by 15%.

“My brother, we have increased transport fares by 15%. And it is taking effect in the Ashanti Region by Thursday, March 31, 2022”, the GPRTU Chairman confirmed to filasconews.com.

The decision came into existence after meeting with Government and all the transport operators this week amidst the recent increment on the petroleum products.
