Ashanti Region Records No Case Of COVID 19 For The Past 2Weeks- Health Director

The Deputy Ashanti Regional Health Director, In-charge of Public Health, Dr. Michael Rockson Adjei has revealed that, the region has not recorded a case of Covid 19 for the past two weeks.

The Health Director was reacting to the address of Nana Addo on March 27, about the new measures on the pandemic.

The president yesterday disclosed in his 28th address that, wearing of nose/face mask is no more mandatory in public places or at any place.

“The mandatory wearing of nose mask and face mask have been eased”, the President said.

Commenting on it on a Kumasi based Silver FM’s morning show dubbed omanbapa chaired by Nana Ampratwum on Monday, March 28, 2022, Dr. Adjei sided with the President on the decision, saying the figures support.

“Yes, the president was right to announce that looking at the figures internally and internationally, we are good to go.

Taking Ashanti Region for instance, we have not recorded any case of Covid 19 for the past 2 weeks, which means we can ease the restrictions”, he disclosed on the show monitored by filasconews.com.

However, Dr. Michael advised the general to public themselves voluntarily.
