BLACK FRIDAY: Burial Service Held For 7 victims of Appiate explosion- Watch(SAD VIDEO, PHOTOS)
A mass burial service has been held for seven persons who died as a result of the Appiate Explosion.
The incident happened on January 20, 2022 at Appiate in the Western Region.
Thirteen people lost their lives in the explosion but, a mass burial service was held for 7 out of the 13 at Appiate Old Town Park today, March 11, 2022.
The seven are 15-month-old Ella Baidoo, Akua Nyame, 80, Isaac Benyin, 45, Emmanuel Quainoo, 29, Justice Kwasi Takwa, 21, Isaac Annan, 35, and Michael Afriyie, 19.
Four of the victims were earlier buried as their families wanted private burial for them, and the remaining two are scheduled to be sent to Zebila and Takoradi for a private interment.
The Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Benito Owusu Bio, led the government delegation to the burial ceremony.
