Stick To COVID Protocols – Health Director To Ghanaians
The Ashanti Regional Deputy Health Director in charge of Public Health, Dr. Micheal Rockson Adjei have urged the Ghanaian public especially in the Ashanti region not to relax on observing the Covid-19 protocols on the basis of entertaining the thought that Covid-19 had dropped drastically or was no more.
He warned against complacency on the grounds of recent statistics on Covid-19 adding that we should be careful we are not taken unawares.
In a press briefing today Wednesday 9th March,2020, he said unless one has the disease, one may not believe it exists adding that we should put all doubt aside and obey the protocols and get vaccinated.
He cautioned people with preexisting diseases like diabetes, hypertension, asthma among others to be extra careful not to contract the disease as it could enhance their vulnerability.
He stressed that, in spite of the huge toll Covid-19 took on lives and livelihoods of the global population, Government took bold measures to contain its spread through well-coordinated and concerted action.
He urged the public to frequently convey the message to their neighbors that the only way we can completely drive away the disease is get vaccinated and adhere to all the protocols.
Dr Rockson said at the height of the pandemic, the Ashanti regional health directorate undertook a series of sensitization campaigns through media.
