VIDEO: More than 50 shops burnt to Ashes at Kwadaso market
Fire swept through portions of the Kwadaso main market on Thursday dawn, destroying at least 50 wooden and metal shops and other structures at the popular trading hub.
The fire which started around midnight caught the attention of personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service who arrived at the scene around 3:15 am.
Affected victims who rushed to the scene began counting their losses after the fire was declared under control just before 6am. Some of them spoke to our news team.
Meanwhile, the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) says investigations have begun to ascertain the cause of the fire.
