The residents of Zambo in Lawra of the Upper West Region are crying to government for portable water.
The people are in dire need of water. They compete with their only source of drain water with animals.
According to a concerned resident, Zawaare Jacob(Zambo MP), on the 16th of March, 2023, the people of Zambo searched and dug for water to drink, for both animals and human beings but proved futile.
He said, the surprising part was that, the very site the people dug for the Water was one of the sites the president of the republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo established the One Village One Dam(1V1D) initiative in 2020 but there was no water .

The community is currently in need of water for living.
They are therefore crying to the government and philanthropists to come to their aid before things get out of hands.
