The office of the Independent National Electoral Commission in the Takai Local Government Area of Kano State was reportedly burnt down by suspected political thugs on Saturday.
This caused INEC officials, elections observers, journalists, and others to flee in different directions.
Meanwhile, one person was reportedly shot dead at the collation centre of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Idanre Local Government Area of Ondo State on Sunday.
The deceased, a supporter of the Peoples Democratic Party, was allegedly killed by security agents during a scuffle on the premises of the centre.
In another incident, the Kano South senatorial candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party alleged that at least one person was killed and another injured when hoodlums attacked and burnt the INEC collation centre in Takai Local Government Area of Kano State.
The police have confirmed the arrest of three suspects in connection with the burning of the INEC office.
