Why SHS 1 students are beginning academic work on 27th February, 2023…GES explains
Dr. Eric Nkansah, Director-General of Ghana Education Service (GES) has given a splendid reason for the start of academic work on 27th February, 2023 for SHS one (1) students.
According to an official update made by GES, it was disclosed that the one-week period given was to assist students and parents to prepare adequately for school.
In addition, they (GES) said the schedule will ensure a smooth transition of prospective SHS 1 students into their schools.
As it stands now, all form one students are to report to their various schools by the start of working day, 20th February 2023.
The students are to report to the school and pick up their prospectuses and complete the necessary registrations and orientations.
SHS 1 RESUMING & ACADEMIC WORK START DATE
Reporting for registrations and orientations will commence by Monday, 20th February, 2023 while full academic work has be slated for 27th February, 2023.
All the most important items for students should be purchased before academic work commences.
All SHS 1 students and parents/gaurdians should kindly take note of the dates and go accordingly.
