New Juaben South MP fetes children to celebrate Christmas

Hundreds of children within the New Juaben South of the Eastern Region have been feted by Hon. Michael Okyere Baafi, the Member of Parliament for New Juaben South, to celebrate Christmas.
The annual “MP’s Children’s Party” on Wednesday, 28th December, 2022, drawn children from all the 34 electoral areas, engaged in singing, Quiz, swimming and dancing competitions, among others at Koforidua Anlo-Town North electoral area.
The children ate varieties of rice with chicken, eggs and drank soft drinks.
Winners of the various competitions received goodies such as bicycles, parcels, uniforms and other befitting rewards to motivate the others to bring out their God-given talents.
Speaking to Afeema FM’s journalist Kaakyire Kwasi Afari, the MP mentioned that Its has been 8 years now after successful introduction of the Mp’s Children’s Party as annual event to celebrate Christmas in his area.
The MP expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the party executives and all his constituents for taking part in this chalked legacy.
Michael Okyere Baafi advised the future leaders to take their studies seriously and obey instructions from their guidance for their own good.
Okyere Baafi admonished parents to consider their wards Education a priority and to show love to their children by talking to them and creating platform to discuss with them.
The MP who doubles as deputy trade minister, in an interview with Afeema FM, said it was good to throw parties for children at the eve of Christmas of every year to put smiles on their faces and make them feel important in society.
The lawmaker noted that as the Lord has blessed him, he is replicating same by sharing with the children in the constituency and indicated that he hosted this year’s celebration at Koforidua Anlo-Town in New Juaben South as he does for communities even before becoming MP for the constituency.
He said the annual MP’s Children’s Party with the children, organized by his office, was part of his efforts to bring all children within his Constituency together to promote peace and unity among them.
According to Michael Okyere Baafi, the event granted opportunity for the young ones to socialize with their age mates and experience new environment outside home.
A 9 year-old Grace Amoako, from Anlo Town community commended the Member of Parliament for remembering them to celebrate Christmas in a grand style.
She prayed for the MP by asking God to grand him long life and prosperity so that next year, he can replicate same for others who couldn’t benefits from such a remarkable celebration.
