Olive Mall, the latest addition to retail service centres in New Juaben South of the Eastern, have officially been commissioned to serve the rapidly growing middle-class suburbs of Koforidua.
The new Mall which will be the first and only formal, organized commercial retail space in Koforidua and will provide a strong selection of retailers across various categories.
Olive Mall is located off the Koforidua-Accra highways, the Mall is being owned by a private business man Mr. Ofosu Addo.
The commissioning of the Olive Mall on Saturday, 17th 2022 was in honour of Mr. Alex Amankwah Addo (Piano) for being a mentor, a pillar of support and father.
The CEO for Olive Mall, Mr. Ofosu Addo told Kaakyire Kwasi Afari of Afeema FM that, his intention to establish the edifice was to creat employment and to serve as avenue for investors in Koforidua.
He believes, it’s unwise to depend solely on government for jobs whiles private business men can use the little opportunity to create jobs.
According to Ofosu Addo with more people living and travelling to Koforidua, there is a need for more amenities and conveniences to cater to the needs of the community, thus, he’s excited to establish Olive Mall as a commercial anchor that has been designed to suit its surroundings.
The member of Parliament for New Juaben South constituency, hon. Michael Okyere Baafi who graced the event stated that, the tribulations of economic hardships in the country will soon be a thing of the past.
The member of Parliament who doubles as deputy trade minister tauted the NPP government as the best managers of the economy.
Commenting on the appreciation of the cedi, the MP predicted the Ghanaian Cedi to appreciate at a margin of gh¢7 against the dollar by the end of December, 2022.
The lawmaker speaking at the opening ceremony said “Ghana will soon be like a Woman every man would like to love” he told Kaakyire Kwasi Afari.
For his part, the New Juaben South Municipality Chief executive, Hon. Isaac Apaw Gyasi has pledged the commitment of the assembly to create the needed environment and the ambience for strategic investment partnership.
He said the assembly seeks strategic partnerships to develop the Municipality into a business hub.
The Municipal Chief executive called for more investors to invest in Koforidua because, the strategic location of Koforidua is favorable for investment and that, entrepreneurs will not regret investing their capital in the Municipality.
The MCE added that the government has awarded unprecedented legacy projects in Koforidua and he is optimistic that, the performance of the government will help the NPP party to break the 8.
