Ashanti Region: Pentecost School Bus Collides With A Trotro Vehicle, Trotro Driver In Critical Condition At Atafoa (VIDEO)

A Trotro vehicle driver is battling for his life at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) after a near fatal collision at Atafoa in the Bantama Constituency of the Ashanti Region.
The incident happened Tuesday morning, November 1, 2022.
The accident involved two vehicles. Abrepo Pentecost school bus and the Trotro vehicle.
The driver of the school bus, Mr. Yaw Marfo speaking to filasconews.com right after the collision said, the Trotro Driver made wrongful U-Turn at Atafoa which led to the crash.
He said, “We were all heading towards Asuofua and a point on the road at Okatakyie Junction(Atafoa), the driver of the Trotro without a sign made a U-Turn to load passengers on the other side of the road going to town(Kejetia).
I applied force break continuously but proved futile and collided”, Mr. Marfo disclosed.
The driver’s side of the Trotro crashed with bus.
As at the time of filing this report the driver of the Trotro is in critical condition at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, Kumasi.
Only one student was in the bus at the time of the accident while the Trotro driver and his mate were the two people in their vehicle.
The police at Bohyen have started investigation into the matter.
