I’ve never seen tarred road before- Chief cries as successive Governments neglect his community

The Chief of Agroyesum in the Amansie South District of the Ashanti Region, Nana Agyabeng Tabi (III) has stated that, in his entire life as a ruler in the area, he has never seen a tarred road in the district before.

Nana Agyabeng, who is also the Acting President of Agroyesum Traditional Area in an interview with Filasco DeGeneral on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, unearthed that, the community would be so glad if the Government of Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo construct even a 1km coated stretch of road in the area not to even talk of asphalted road.

He lamented that, all road networks in the district are in a deplorable state with deadly potholes all over.

Nana Tabi (III) highlighted the intense dusty nature and potholes on the roads as a major contributing factor of road accidents.

In addition, Nana bemoaned that, because of the bad state of their roads, the area has not benefited from the government’s policies such as 1D1F and many others saying their of the national cake has been locked due to the appauling nature of roads in the district especially Agroyesum.

“Agroyesum has a lot of mineral resources but I can’t fathom why we are suffering from the hands of successive governments.

It’s weird why both New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) keep punishing us”, Nana Agyabeng Tabi sadly told Filasco.

He finally entreated the Government through the Road Minister to at least construct a 1km tarred road at Agroyesum.
