Food stuffs are rotten due to our deplorable roads- DCE worried

The Kwahu Afram Plains North District Chief Executive (DCE), Nana Ofori Koree (Hon), has made a passionate appeal to the President of the republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo to as a matter of urgency construct their deplorable roads for them.

According to the DCE, farming produce from Donkokrom and it’s environs in the Kwahu Afram Plains North District of the Eastern Region are rotten due to the bad state of their road networks.

Hon. Ofori entreated the President to give their share of the national cake in terms of good roads in the area.

The DCE made this  known to the press at the 37th Farmers Day Celebration under the Theme: “Planting for Food and Jobs, Consolidating Food System in Ghana” at Adukrom, a suburb in Donkokrom in the district.

The Kwahu Afram Plains overall Best farmer, Nana Osei Kwame reiterated the call to the President to upgrade their roads for them.

He seized the opportunity to advising the youth to see agriculture as lucrative job to earn a good living and invest into farming to make them profitable in attaining their goals.

His farms include:6

60 acres of Cashew

70 acres of Maize

16 acres of Yam
8 acres of Cassava
20 acres of Tomatoes
20 acres of Watermelon
30 sheep and 40 goats

100 poultries and 40 Catles etc.
