Chop bar operator arrested for allegedly stealing goats, paraded through the streets
The Nkurakan Police have arrested a 37-year old Mary Yeboah, local chop bar operator “( sweet at Home” chop bar) at Nkurakan in the Yilo Krobo Municipality of the Eastern Region.
The accused Mary Yeboah involve in goats business handed to Police for further investigation.
The accused goat thieves were paraded around the town with their stolen goats.
The suspects, local chop bar operator Mary Yeboah was booed and despised as the community marched her through the streets of Nkurakan.
The Dademankye, Emmanuel Narh and the residents manage to arrest Mary Yeboah allegedly buying stolen goats to prepared local dishes at Nkurakan.
The suspected thieves were compelled by the community to carry the dead goats on their heads to go round the street.
The suspected people handed to Nkurakan Police immediately, transferred them to Koforidua Central Police Commander for further investigation and prosecution.
The Police has confirmed to Tv xyz and power fm news, that, the Dademankye at Nkurakan central, Joffrey Obenu Wowolo and Okyeame Emmauel Narh reported the case to the Police for arrest.
The Nkurakan Police said, they are yet to investigate and write a report for proceedings.
According to the citizens, they have been in a very enraged by the high rate of theft and crimes at Nkurakan and are appealing to the Police Commander in Eastern Region to deploy more men to Nkurakan to enhance peace.
