The Chief of Abuokrom in the Jaman South Municipality of the Bono Region has been chased out from his community as angry residents resist his ruling.
According to the people of Abuokrom, they cannot live with the Chief with his gross insubordination and disregard for customs and traditions binding the community.
The Queen mother of Abuokrom also the Queen Mother for the Abuo Royal family, Nana Abenaa Konamah(I) has confirmed the incident on Kumasi based Silver FM’s morning show hosted by Nana Kwabena Ampratwum, monitored by Filasconews.com today, Thursday, August 11, 2022.
The Queen mother outlined several charges against the Chief that have accounted for his alleged dethroned.
She alleged that, the Chief, Nana Seidu Gyabaa sells stool lands without any notice to the leaders in the community, the royal family and also do not render account but uses the money for his own parochial interest.
She filed a lot of complain against the Chief on the show adding that, the plotted his own robbery attack and intentionally squandered the community’s fund, stating that, robbers broke into his room and stole the money, GHc7,000.
These and many more according to the Queen Mother, Nana Abena Konama have pushed the people to passing through the right traditions to dethroning the Chief.
Attempts to call the Chief for his side of the story proved futile.
