Just in: Ghana’s female Volleyball team wins gold at AFCON zone 3
Ghana’s National female Volleyball team has won gold at the just ended females finals of the Volleyball African Cup of Nations Zone 3 tournament in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
The female Black Spikers beat their Malian opponent 3:0, despite strong opposition from the Malian in the first and second sets.
Earlier, the female Black Spikers beat Benin and Niger, 3:0 and 3:0 respectively at the group stage, they met and beat Benin again, 3:0 at the semi final.
Ahead of the final match, the National Coach of the Male team, Rahman Danladi, in an interview said having been with the team and watched the ladies play their matches, he was very hopeful that Ghana would be able to win gold.
