Pregnant women and children are dyeing over lack of hospital-Chiefs and residents cry to Gov’t
The people of Akyem Dome are crying out loud to the government led by his Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo to as a matter of urgency construct a hospital for the them as many pregnant women and children die regularly due to lack of a health facility.
The Paramount Chief of Akyem Dome, Osabarima Amoako Affum (ii) in the Fanteakwa South District of the Eastern Region together with his people, have appealed to Government, Ghana Health Service (GHS) and benevolent individuals for Hospital in the area to give the people adequate healthcare.
The Paramount Chief said Akyem Dome has a population over 49,000 people and is surrounded by many towns and communities.
The residents bemoaned they have lost many pregnant and children due to the absence of a health facility in Akyem Dome.
Barima Amoako recounted how they nearly lost the live of a young man 3 days ago in the town due to the inability to access a health center.
Osaberima Amoako made the appeal in a press conference organized by the chiefs and residents at Akyem Dome in the Fanteakwa South District of the Eastern Region on November 8,2021 to make their problems known to the government.
