Joint Security Taskforce arrest illegal miners in Obuasi, treat them inhumanely(VIDEO)

Tens of galamseyers have been arrested by a joint Security Taskforce in Obuasi in the Ashanti Region.
The arrest was made on July 15, 2022 at Anglo Gold Ashanti mining concersion.
Explaining the incident, resident and journalist with Obuasi Shaft FM, Nana Yaw Opoku told Filasconews.com that, the illegal miners invaded the AGA concersion by sneaking through the underground without the knowledge of the local guards.
After intelligence gathering, the Joint Military -Police Taskforce proceeded to the site, ceiling all entrances to the ghettos, leaving only one opened.
They surrounded the area in their numbers, armed fully.
The illegal miners, fearing they could lose their lives in the pit surrendered and came out from the small hole in mud.
Not only did the police arrested them, they let them sleep in the muddy water as part of their punishment.
Meanwhile, Obuasi Youth Community Mining Association are upset about the action meted out to the illegal miners and have vowed to stage a demonstration against the mine.
They are calling on AGA to give part of their concersion to the youths in Obuasi to work on else the unfortunate will happen.
