The 45th president of the United States of America, Donald Trump has lost his first wife Ivana Trump.
Ivana Trump, a renowned businesswoman passed on at the age of 73 in her resident at New York City when she was found unconscious close to her staircase. Authorities believed she may have fallen from the stairs.
Police believe the cause of death may be accidental, according to the Associated Press.
Donald and Ivana Trump were notable public figures in New York in the 1980s and 1990s, and their split was the subject of intense public interest.
She helped Mr. Trump build his real estate empire, though she was better known for being one half of the quintessential 1980s power couple.
Ms. Trump, who was born in what is now known as Czech Republic, married the former president in 1977. They divorced 15 years later in 1992.
They had three children together – Donald Jr, Ivanka and Eric Trump.
