Energy Commission And GES Launch SHS Renewable Energy Challenge
The energy commission in collaboration with the Ghana Education service (GES) Tuesday May 24th may 2022, launch the 3rd edition of the Energy commissions senior high schools Renewable Energy challenges (ECSHSRES)
The special guest of honor , BAWUMIA SAMIRA ,a Global champion for the clean cooking Alliance, will deliver the keynote .
She said the 3rd edition of the challenge is open to all second -cycle schools in the country,
Students are expected to develop projects in the area of either Clean cooking or food processing , which should be related to the use of renewable energy teachnologies ,
Schools are also encouraged to come up with new product innovations, accessories to product or digital innovations to improve the performance or efficiencies of existing project.
Stages
The challenge will be in three stages, the regional competition,the zonal competition and the grand finale.
Sixteen regional competitions would be held in all regional capitals to select the best project for each Region and two zonal competitions
(Northern and southern) would be held with either schools in each zone,
She continue said three schools would be selected from each zonal to present their project during the grand finale slated for October 19,2022, with the president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo,
