JUST IN: NDC Organiser And Wife Arrested For Pouring Hot Water On 17-Year-Old Girl
Bibiani Anhwianso Bekwai, Former NDC Constituency Youth Organizer has been Arrested together with his Wife, for Pouring hot Water On a 17-Year-Old-Girl At Sefwi-Baakokrom.
The Family of the victim are Demanding Justice.
Mr. Agyare Mensah, former Youth Organizer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), in the Bibiani Anhwianso Bekwai Constituency of the Western North Region, together with his wife has been arrested by the Sefwi Bekwai District Police Command for allegedly pouring boiling water on a 17 year old girl called Regina Amankwaa a.k.a Akosu for attempting to beat Madam Janet, the wife of Mr. Agyare Mensah.
In an interview with Kwame Kontor Boateng Lord fm, Mr. Agyare Mensah, who was arrested together with his wife narrated the story that the Bibiani Anhwianso Bekwai Municipal Assembly incollaboration with NCCE ,Social Ware-fare and labour selected 10 communities for piloting child labour issues of which Sefwi Baakokrom is part of the process to reduce the child labour free zone.
Mr. Agyare Mensah expressed that been the chairman of the community child protection committee (CCPC), it was properly to see to it that parents and guardians are ensured to follow the order to restrain their children to involve themselves into hard labour.
But not quite surprising, he alleged that there’s one woman called Gladys Mintah a.k.a Ako, Ako who has been abusing her children right and has got a case at Bibiani Social Ware-fare but has not learnt her lesson, so last friday, she managed to send her 9year old daughter to go and sell pear and to the dismay of child could not account for her sales and landed her sleep inside a kitchen.
So a good samaritan brought the girl to his house, to keep her, and to his surprise, the woman (Gladys Mintah) came with three people into his house to demand the daughter and resulted in a fight of which his wife(Janet) was beaten seriously and the wife bath them with boiling water.
Madam Gladys Mintah, a.k.a Ako, Ako in an interview with Kwame Kontor Boateng explained the genesis of the whole story which brought about the issue concerning Madam Janet pouring hot water on her daughter.
The victim Regina Amankwa also expressed the difficulties she’s going through and appeal to President Akufo-Addo and IGP to resolve the matter.
Kwame Kontor Boateng had the opportunity to interview the 9year-old girl who has been hacked into hard labour also narrated her sad story.
