KUMASI: 50-Year-Old Security Officer Stabbed To Death By Trotro Driver
Sad news gathered by filasconews.com indicates that, a security officer with Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly has been stabbed to death by a Trotro Driver.
The incident happened at Kejetia, a business center within KMA during the weekends.
According to reports, the Security Officer, Mr. Thomas Amakye Yankey, popularly known as Congo Soldier had altercation with the driver over wrong packing and loading, leading to the unfortunate incident.
Mrs. Henrietta Afia Konadu Aboagye, Public Relations Officer for the Assembly, reacting to the issue on a Kumasi based Silver FM’s morning show dubbed omanbapa hosted by Nana Ampratwum, has confirmed the news.
Saying, during the heated argument between their officer and the driver, supported by his mate, the driver went to his vehicle, pulled out a knife and stabbed Mr. Yankey multiple times.
“He stabbed him on the neck and in his rib” She added.
