Ghana Loses Fmr Second Lady, Aliu Mahama Ramatu
Ramatu Aliu Mahama (Neè Egala), the wife of the late former Vice President Aliu Mahama, has passed on at age 70.
Affectionately known as Hajia Ramatu, she died Thursday afternoon, her son, Farouk Mahama has confirmed.
“It is with deep sorrow, I announce the passing of my beloved mother, the Former Second Lady Hajia Ramatu Mahama (Nee Egala). She passed on peaceful in Accra at the Korlebu Teaching Hospital earlier this afternoon” Farouk Mahama announced.
“The family has lost a great pillar. Burial and funeral rites would be conducted in accordance with Islamic traditions.
