Chaos Erupts In Boborama As Two Men Beaten For Attempting To Stop Installation Of Tufuhene

Chieftaincy Dispute: Two beaten to pulp

Residents of Boborama in the Ellembelle District of the Western Region have severely beaten two men who allegedly attempted to disrupt the installation of the community’s new Tufuhene.

The two men, believed to have come from Tarkwa, reportedly arrived with the intent to halt the traditional installation process. This action, viewed as a disruption by the community, incited outrage among the residents, leading to the attack.

When confronted by residents about their actions, the men claimed they were acting on orders from the Chief of Asanda, Nana Akpoh Ababio Kpanyinli IV, who purportedly instructed them to stop the process.

Investigations conducted by our reporter Nana Fynn revealed that Nana Akpoh Ababio Kpanyinli IV is the traditional ruler of Ankobra, Boborama, and Asanda, all located within the Ellembelle District.

Further findings indicate a brewing tension in Boborama, as residents, despite acknowledging Nana Akpoh Ababio as their chief, its been alleged that the residents of Boborama are preparing to install a new chief for the community.

The situation has raised questions about the legitimacy of the planned installation and the authority of Nana Akpoh Ababio as the ruling chief. Traditional leaders in the area are yet to comment on the development, as investigations into the matter continue.
