Offinso: Two Fetish Priests Remanded Over Murder | VIDEO
Two fetish priests has been remanded into Police custody by the Offinso District Court in the Ashanti Region for allegedly killing a 67-years man at Amoawi a community within the Offinso South Municipality.
The accused, Nana Akwasi Amankwaa and Akua Asantewaa, was arrested on July 14, for killing one Opanin Augustine Amponsah with a Chicken soup.
It’s recalled on July 14 that, the deceased Opanin Augustine Amponsah went to the fetish priest to seek for assistance to uproot a gold.
The suspected murderer Okomfo Akwasi Amankwaa allegedly offered the deceased a chicken meat and soup suspected to be poisoned.
Opanin Augustine Amponsah took it and was later complaining of his stomach, after few minutes he died on the shrine.
The Offinso district Court judge Christiana Blues upon hearing this has remanded two fetish priests into police custody two weeks to reappear on August 16 and also charged the police to do a thorough investigation into the matter.
