Secular music has NO place In the Church or personal spiritual life- Clergy replies Victoria Sarfo

The Scripture has already drawn the distinction_ the descendants of CAIN were the PATRIARCHS of Secular Music, whereas, the Prophets, Priests and Kings composed the Psalms and Christians composed the Hymns! This distinction settles the ancient controversy between the apostates and the regenerates within Christendom.

Gospel Music Legend, Mrs. Victoria Sarfo of ‘Jesus Kasa fame’, has loosely stated that secular music can preach to the church.

Her unwarranted statement depicts her carnal nature and may wrongly influence young Christians who are struggling with secularism and sincretism.

In the Scriptures the first person to compose secular song was Lameh a grandson of CAIN. The same was the catalyst of polygamy and his descendants were the first to manufacture weapons of war on earth. Their hydonist and aggressive lifestyle catalyzed the violence phenomenon that necessitated the divine judgement of flood in Noah’s Era.

There are a bunch of Mrs. Victoria Sarfo’s kid of hybrid Christians, who never grow in the scriptures or submit to godly leadership for spiritual tutorage so they could grow up in the things of God and and acquainted themselves with drawing inspiration from Scriptures, biblical sermons, hymns and believers personal testimonies. The unregulated lack discernment to separate evil from good nor understand expediency and the perfect will of God!

The so called Gospel musician should acknowledge that most of the so called Gospel songs, including some of Mrs. Victoria Sarfo’s songs are unfit for true Scripture based church services (LITURGIES).

The descendants of Cain are the patriarchs of secular music and the biblical PSALMS were composed by the Prophets, Priests and Kings, who were anointed with holy oil by God!

2CORINTHIANS. 6:14-18.

Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said:

“I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.” Therefore,

“Come out from them and be separate, says the Lord.

Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.”And, “I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”

RESPONSE TO BELLOW ARTICLE.

Gospel musician Victoria Sarfo has ignited a discussion about the nature of gospel music.

She agrees with rapper Eno Barony’s recent comment that gospel music shouldn’t be defined solely by mentioning Jesus’ name.

In an interview on Ezra FM, Sarfo went a step further, suggesting that some secular songs carry more meaningful messages than some gospel music.

She specifically mentioned liking rapper Amerado’s “Kwaku Ananse” song for its encouraging lyrics. She even considers it a gospel song because it helps her calm down.

Sarfo’s comments have sparked debate about the boundaries of gospel music.

However, she’s also making waves with a different kind of collaboration.

She recently teamed up with other prominent Ghanaian gospel artists for a remix of her classic song “Jesus Kasa.”
