Man kills friend over gh200 at ofaako
30-year-old man Kwabena Mensah, has been killed by his own friends with sticks and stones after having an argument over Ghc 200 they retrieved from a developer.
Police source says, the deceased and the suspects are friends and also believed to be Asafo members of Kasoa Odupong Ofaako Stool.
Sources say, the deceased and the victim went to site and demanded Ghc7,000 from a developer who had disobeyed the ban on noise making by the stool.
They said, during that period nobody is allowed to work on the land nor make noise.
Brother of the deceased Edem Saglo said, after handing over the Ghc 7000 to the authorities they went ahead and demanded Ghc200 from a different developer.
He said, the deceased confronted the suspect for his share of the money which led to misunderstand in the morning.
Edem Saglo said, the suspects attacked them in the evening while they were drinking at a drinking spot around on Sunday June 30, 2023 11:00PM
Edem said, he went unconscious, after one of the suspect hit him with stick and before he was revived his brother was dead.
The suspects are at large while the case has been reported at Kasoa Ofaako District Police command.
