Worrying: KG2 pupil battling for her life after being defiled
In a distressing incident in Twifo Ampekro, located in the Twifo Hemang Lower Denkyira District of the Central Region, a six-year-old KG2 pupil (name withheld) is currently fighting for her life after an alleged defilement by a self-acclaimed Mallam named John Afedzi, locally known as A.T. 25.
The victim’s mother, Sarah Antwi, expressed her concern to the media as she noticed significant changes in her daughter’s walking pattern. The child would cry profusely during urination, prompting Sarah to conduct a body examination, which raised suspicions of defilement.
Upon discovering this disturbing information, Sarah Antwi promptly notified the Twifo Ampekro Shed unit committee about the situation. Following a thorough investigation by the unit committee, the name of the Mallam was disclosed as the alleged perpetrator of the defilement.
To ensure the well-being of their daughter, the victim’s parents took her to the Twifo Praso District Hospital, where medical professionals confirmed the defilement. The consequences of this heinous act have left the young child unable to walk, eat properly, and she now requires constant use of diapers. Moreover, she experiences excruciating pain during urination, exacerbating her already dire condition.
The Hemang Police have launched an investigation into the incident, aiming to bring justice to the victim and hold the alleged perpetrator accountable. The community and concerned authorities are actively involved in supporting the family during this challenging period.
