Man kills woman two days after divorce
A former employee of the Chifunabui District Council lost her life at the hands of her former husband, just two days after their marriage was dissolved by the Chitembo Local Court.
Vincent Kurebo went to Esther Matiya’s house and engaged in a violent altercation.
Esther asked her children to leave and seek refuge at a family friend’s house.
When the children returned the next day, they discovered their mother’s lifeless body inside the locked house, with a blood-stained pounding stick nearby.
Vincent Kurebo is currently on the run, and the Luapula Province Commanding Officer, Fwambo Siame, has confirmed the incident.
