Police officer arrested for allegedly defiling girl, 15
Police said the 15-year-old informed them that the said officer was in an active relationship with her.
Nairobi, A police officer was on Thursday apprehended in Kericho’s Kipkelion in connection with the defilement of a 15-year-old girl.
Police reports indicate that following a missing person report recorded at Barsielle Police Post on Wednesday the alleged victim was found at Kaplong area of Litein, and subsequently transported back to Kipkelion police station.
Police said the 15-year-old informed them that the said officer was in an active relationship with her.
“Upon inquiry, she alleges to have been in an active sexual relationship with one PC Felix Shiundu of Barsielle Police post, and that as a consequence of being defiled by the said officer, she became pregnant,” a police report read.
His arrest came after the said police officer escorted the minor to a yet to be revealed location within Kisumu county where he allegedly aided her procure an abortion.
“Today (Thursday)in the morning, he allegedly escorted her to Litein and facilitated her transport to Kaplong where she was found prior to being brought to the station,” the police report read in part.
Police said the minor has since recorded her statement and has been handed over to her parents pending medical, examination.
“PC Shiundu has been placed in custody pending arraignment in court to answer to the charges of defilement and aiding in procuring abortion,” police said.
Also collected as exhibit is the officer’s mobile phone, make Tecno Spark 8, with two sim cards pending forensic audit.
