Woman chops her baby into pieces, eats the internal organs
Kenyan court in Kajiado has ordered the detention of a 24-year-old woman identified as Olivia Naserian on murder charges after she allegedly killed her two-year-old daughter, Kenyan media reports
Olivia Naserian is accused of murdering her daughter Glory Njeri at their home in Kitengela’s Milimani Estate on Sunday, April 23.
Ms Naserian is said to have chopped her baby into pieces with a knife before eating parts of her internal organs before neighbours alerted the police, who arrived at the scene and apprehended her.
Residents of Kitengela were left in shock after they watched in horror as the woman stabbed the two-year-old girl to death before she dismembered her and fed on her remains.
Naserian, 24, a Fourth Year Commerce student at a local university is alleged to have killed her child, Glory Njeri, after she parted ways with the minor’s father.
According to police, the woman is said to have cut her baby into pieces before feeding on the intestines and kidney, in an incident that left locals speechless with rage.
Neighbours who heard the minor’s screams rushed to the house suspecting criminals had attacked the homestead only to find the young mother naked and violently attacking her daughter while singing nursery school rhymes.
The horrifying attack was captured on video by neighbours who tried in vain to break the door.
When the neighbours managed to break the door and get into the house, the toddler was already dead and the young mother had collapsed.
According to the neighbours, the parents of the woman, who live in the same house, were not at home at the time of the incident.
Police plan to take her to the hospital for mental tests. The remains were taken to the local morgue.
According to Olivia Naserian’s aunt, Gladys Wanjiku, Naserian had gone to live with her boyfriend in Kirinyaga for close to 8 months, and returned last week.
She said Naserian’s mother, who is a teacher, also noticed the weird behaviour of her daughter when she arrived on Thursday.
“When she arrived at their Kitengela home, she even helped her mother prepare chapatis and all the time she would jump on her mother and show her a lot of love,” said Wanjiku.
Wanjiku said Naserian had not told anyone that she was leaving her boyfriend’s home after an eight-month stay.
“The mother of her boyfriend told us that Naserian left with her laptop, her child and without her cellphone. We do not know what happened to her before she left Kirinyaga,” said her aunt.
Naserian, according to her neighbours, started shouting and speaking in tongues on Sunday night before breaking utensils, windows and the TV.
This was before she grabbed her child and started stabbing her.
